Overview

Element Bass is a complete bass-processing suite that takes everything you’d normally do across multiple tracks and plugins—amp modeling, Cab IRs, EQ, compression, distortion—and merges it into one streamlined interface. Designed specifically for modern bass production, it cuts out the complexity of juggling different effects and offers up to three fully independent channels in parallel, each with its own graphical parametric EQ, bass pre-amp selection, and Cab IRs. Whether you need heavy, gritty distortion or a clean, punchy low end, Element Bass has you covered.

Element Bass stands out because it’s purpose-built for the demands of modern bass production. Every feature—be it distortion, EQ, or compression—is tailored to help you lock in a massive yet balanced low end. Instead of wasting time hunting for the right tools or dealing with overly complicated routing, you can access everything you need in one place. From quick tone shaping to more detailed tweaks, Element Bass ensures you capture and refine the exact character you’re after—whether that’s a rich, clean foundation or an aggressive, growling drive. And if you aren’t the type to tweak around, you’ll find mix-ready presets dialed in for everything from aggressive metal to classic rock.

Its most unique feature is the “3D” parameter, a stereo modulation effect modeled after techniques from legendary producer Andy Wallace. With a single knob, you can help your bass stand out in dense mixes without overpowering other instruments. This means a tighter, clearer low end and a midrange that still punches through.

Because Element Bass was created specifically for bass guitar, it doesn’t just simplify your workflow—it elevates it. From parallel channels for layering distinct tonal qualities, to the “3D” feature, every feature is there to maximize clarity, depth, and punch. As a result, your sessions become smoother and more creative, letting you focus on arranging and performance instead of wrestling with multiple tracks and plugins. By bringing everything into one intuitive suite, Element Bass reduces guesswork, speeds up production, and delivers the kind of tight, authoritative bass tone that is only possible with its tight vertical integration of all features.

Multi-Stage Bass

Element Bass is all about giving you the power to shape your low end with surgical precision—without the hassle of multiple tracks or endless plugin stacks. Think of it as having three separate bass rigs at your fingertips, each dedicated to a specific part of your tone. Here’s why that matters:

Layered Yet Cohesive: By running up to three independent channels in parallel, you can dial in distinct EQ, distortion, and preamp settings for each one. That means you can blend a thick, smooth sub-bass layer with a snarling midrange and a crisp top-end bite—all without muddying the mix.

All-in-One Control: No more juggling separate plugins for EQ, compression, or amp modeling. Everything you need is integrated into a single interface, making it easy to balance and tweak each layer until you hit that perfect sweet spot.

Tailored to Bass: Every channel includes bass-specific features—from cab IRs to dedicated distortion circuits—so you’re not contorting a guitar-focused amp sim to do the job. Each channel is precisely voiced for the frequencies that matter, leaving you with a tighter, punchier tone overall.

Speed & Flexibility: Instead of getting lost in a maze of routing, you can quickly create, compare, and adjust different channel blends on the fly. This workflow means you’ll spend more time making music and less time troubleshooting complex setups.

Whether you’re after bone-rattling low end, midrange growl, or crisp clarity on top, Element Bass lets you sculpt every layer with complete freedom—all while staying in a single, streamlined plugin. It’s the fastest route to that massive, professional bass sound you’ve been chasing.

Parametric Equalizer

The parametric EQ in Element Bass isn’t just a simple graphic EQ —it’s the key to unlocking each channel’s unique potential. Since Element Bass lets you run up to three fully independent channels, having a dedicated parametric EQ in each one allows for a precise, targeted approach that a single shared EQ can’t match.

Control Every Layer: Each channel might be handling a different part of your bass tone—one might be your sub-lows, another your midrange grit, and another your top-end definition. With separate EQs, you can hone in on each channel’s sweet spots and carve out exactly the frequencies you need, without compromising the others.

No More Frequency Clashes: When you try to EQ everything in just one place, it’s easy for one adjustment to ruin another. By giving each channel its own parametric EQ, you can tailor the low-end thickness, midrange bite, and high-end clarity independently, ensuring each layer complements the rest without stepping on any toes.

Refined vs. Broad Strokes: A single EQ often forces you to make big, blanket moves to affect multiple frequency ranges. In Element Bass, each channel has its own EQ—so you can dial in ultra-specific tweaks to each frequency band. The result is a tone that’s much more polished and better suited to cutting through busy mixes.

Faster Workflow: You could theoretically achieve something similar by stacking additional plugins or routing multiple outputs. But that’s time-consuming, prone to error and will give you a whole host of phase related issues. Having each channel’s EQ built-in right where you need it means you’ll spend more time playing and mixing, and less time wrestling with complex signal flows.

In short, three parametric EQs let you mold each part of your bass tone independently—giving you unmatched precision, faster results, and ultimately, a cleaner, more impactful final sound.

Preamp Selection

In the plugin, you will find up to 3 different preamps to choose from and use in any of the 3 channels. Each with their own set of unique parameters and settings.

Modern – This is modeled after the Darkglass Alpha Omega 900.

Vintage – This is modeled in part after the Sans Amp and Darkglass B7K Ultra.

Clean – This is your Bass tone directly from your Bass guitar.

IR Loader

The Cab IR loader in Element Bass is not global. Meaning each channel can have its own Cab IR. Letting you pick the perfect IR for that particular channel.

Element Bass comes with a choice selection of IRs created specifically to give you a wide range of tones and sounds to work with.

But if you would instead like to use your own IRs, you can do that too. That being said, just because you CAN load an IR, doesn’t always mean you need to.

Master Output

The master output section of Element Bass also includes a limiter at the end of the signal chain. This allows you to further control the bass peaks and dynamics. It also acts like a glue when you have more than 1 bass channel in parallel.

3D is a stereo modulation effect modeled and inspired by mixing legend Andy Wallace. If you have a hard time getting your bass cut through the mix without stepping over everything else. It’s likely this one knob will do the trick.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a demo version I can try?

Unfortunately, we do not have a demo version of Element Bass yet. But we do offer a 14 day return/refund policy if you buy Element Bass and are unhappy with it. If you do end up wanting a refund, just submit a support ticket to our support team here they will get you refunded as quickly as possible.

Why would I want more than one channel for my bass?

No doubt, you can get good results using just channel/preamp. But you are always going to sacrifice your low end doing so. If you split your bass signal chain into at least two, low end and mid/highs. You can then get all the tone and distortion you want in your sound while keeping the driving low end clear and punchy.

Whats the "Bug" button for?

In case you run into any issues with Element Bass, we wanted to make it as easy as possible to let us know in order to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. If, for whatever reason, you can send us your issue with it, you can always submit a support ticket on the site via your account.

Do I need an iLok account or Dongle?

NO! When you buy Element Bass, all you have to do when you open the plugin is login to your account and activate it. That’s it. Simple and easy. You don’t need to always be online to use it but it does automatically logout after a few weeks. But, if you are online at least once throughout the weeks, the plugin will automatically log you back in without having to do anything.

Will this work in my DAW?

Element Bass will work in any DAW that supports the ability to load a VST3, AU, or AAX.
